GEtting HDTV on older tv with satelite

My direct tv box was hit by lightenign last night. Been thinking of
buying a replacement box with a digital tuner on it. Would it allow me
to get the digital station on my 94 rca with only coax and RCA
connections. (I know the picture will not be as good. I just want to
get the signal as there is a new station only broadcasting digital).

ANy suggestions on a box? I am going to Wal-Mart to check.
