Samsung HDTV Keeps Shutting Off

My 2 year old Samsung TXP2670WH crt occasionally shuts down by itself
and then restarts. It is often preceeded by a popping or cracking
sound. It seems to only happen when I'm watching hi-def and not analog
stations. I thought it might have been because it's so hot here lately.
Unfortunately, it's no longer under warrantee. Does anyone have
experience with this problem?
