If you are unsure of how to disassemble the item it may be wise to have a
service tech come out and do it for you. Pay attention as to how it is
professionally done so next time you will be able to remove the screen and
front housing.
As Leonard posted, the cleaning materials are readily available but getting
to the surfaces of the screen is the challenge. Especially without damage or
any one of the three screens involved during disassembly and reassembly.
It may be as simple as taking the mirror housing ans mirror assembly off the
rear of the set. At least to get access to the back of the fresnal screen.

Can't help with the disassembly. For cleaning the screens and optics you
can use GE Cleaner for Lexan, available at Home Depot for $2.99 per quart.
Use a clean microfiber cloth.

There are 3 spots on the inside of my 55" Projection TV that look
like "tears" running down the screen. The biggest one measures
about ½". Of course, I have no idea what the heck they are and how
they got there. All I know is that they are right in the middle of the
picture and bug the heck out f me. Also, I do recollect noticing that
there was a small spider inside the TV at the time they appeared.
That being said, there is no way for me to clean whatever these things
are without getting inside the TV. I feel very comfortable opening
computers, radios, DVD's, etc. Alas, this was a big investment and it
is still my baby. I do hesitate on just opening the thing up and
spilling its guts all over my living room. At least, not without
getting some guidance from an expert or someone who has some
experience.
Please, help me!
