Sharp Aquos "clayface' issue

I have a 45" Sharp Aquos LCD. I beleive it has the "clay face" issue that
has been discussed here previously. When I spoke with the Sharp 800 service,
they referred me to my local dealer. My local guy ddin't know abything about
the clayface issue, and he insisted that I bring the set in for him to look
at. This probably isn't going to happen, and this service place doesn't go
offsite.

Anyway, from what I understand the firmware update is performed by using a
PC card. Is there any way to obtain such a card so I can do the update
myself?
