What I meant is that eyeballing is exactly what should be done. To
assume
that the calibration with a DVD is the end point is what is fallacious.
But most people can't eyeball because they've been trained that torch
mode is the correct setting.
But nearly everyone can learn to use their controls appropriately to get a
better pix. For most it just takes a few minutes to get them more
comfortable with what the controls do. Most people are educable.
