I have a Sharp LC45GD5U 45" LCD and in the afternoon it gets direct
sunlight on the screen with no effect of the picture. You can see the
sunlight on the border of the set but nothing on the screen. The latest
Sharps have virtually no reflectivity. A laser pointer will not even
show up on the screen so don't plan to use it for presentations. I
Tried.
The panel is very bright and two walls of the room are mostly glass. It
works great.
Good luck,
Don

given the situation what would work best? I was considering a rear
projection type tv. Thanks!
Thanks to all that responded to my question!
