I bought a Panasonic TH-42PX25 plasma HDTV in September 2004. It has worked well until two nights ago. Non-HDTV programs on the antenna, all programs on my TIVO, and the DVD attached to the front panel (Video-3) have all lost part of the picture. The 4:3 aspect footprint appears in the middle of the screen as always. However the right 20% of the picture is missing. When I zoom the picture the right 20% is still missing. If I use the SPLIT feature the primary source goes to the center of the screen and the secondary source goes to the left and right part of the screen. The left side has part of the picture and the right side is missing most of the picture.Hi,
I have 4 inputs.
1.. The cable is attached to Antenna A. I do have a cable card. Problems occur with this source.
2.. A Panasonic DVD/VCR is attached to component-1 using component video cables. No problems with this source.
3.. I have a TIVO attached to Video 1 using a S-VHS cable. I experience the same problem as with the antenna.
4.. I tried a portable DVD attached to Video-3 (Front Panel). The problem occurs here too.
I have done a hard reset (Pressed OK and power for 10 seconds and then unplugged the set). A further comment on the split mode, If I have the DVD on and do a SPLIT both sides of the split display normally. If I then do a swap it behaves like I mentioned above.
I do have a five year warranty but I want to see if there was something I could do with. Has anyone seen like a problem like this?
