Dish has by far the largest lineup of HD channels. Unfortunately, most of
them are crap programming that you will never watch. Also, Dish will charge
you for the extra dish you will need (possibly 2 dishes depending on what
you have now).
That said, Dish is still probably the only choice for monthly price and
channel lineup.
dish or cable. I've never had either. Right now I get about 20 something
digital channels OTA with most being HD. I don't speak spanish, so I can
narrow that down to 10 major stations not counting spanish, weather and
other crap channels. Now, there's much more on every evening than I can
possible watch on just the major networks so I built a 4HDTV tuner MythTV
box so I can record up to 4 shows at once while watching another. Now I
can zip through recorded shows very fast but I still can't watch more than
about 6 hours of programming in 4 hours. Out of these 10 stations, 99% of
my recordings are done on about 6 stations, fox, nbc, abc, cbs, wb, and
upn. All in perfect HDTV for free. No hassle, no monthly fee, just free.
And I don't record all I could. I can't watch that much TV. So can someone
tell me why I'd want another 100 stations?:-)
