All I wanted to do was record my HD widescreen shows to dvd in
widescreen mode. I understood that the hd material would be converted
to 480i and that the connection would probably be Svideo.
I had alloted $500 for a DVD Recorder, and when I found out all the
obstacles to doing what I wanted to do I gave up.
