Yes, there is more letterboxed 16:9 content showing up on the SD channels as more programs switch to recording/filming the show in HD format. Not all of these shows are actually broadcast in HD because they may be on a non-HD network (so far) such as Sci-Fi or USA, but they are being shot in the 16:9 format and in HD to future proof them for future HD broadcasts and HD-DVD/BR sales.

Expect the trend to continue as we make the long very drawn out conversion to 16:9 HD.
