It's one of two things. Sailor could be correct about which plug you are
using. Or, you could be overloading the UPS, which I think is more
likely.


If I overload the UPS, wouldn't the entire UPS shut down ?
During the test the TV would not power up, but my DVD player, VCR , and
audio gear was fine.
Again, I plugged it into the proper battery powered outlet.
