Digital over the air question

x-no-archive:yes

I have been thinking of buying a converter box for my older tv. My
zipcode is 42206. Not sure how far I can pull in stations that are
digital as compared to regular analog signals. I have a tower with a
multi element yagi antenna.

How direction is digital vs analog if I have stations to the north and
south of me would I absolutely have to have a rotor? (I think it would
be a pain to have to do that every time I cahnce the channel.
