I'm wondering if this antenna was considered the best indoor HDTV antenna?

I've got both the Silver Sensor and the Sharpshooter and the Sharpshooter does a better job of grabbing and maintaining signals. The other nice thing about it is that it captures VHF from channel 5 on up to 13 which is something the Silver Sensor can't do.

I'm 38 miles from the "antenna farm" just south of Dallas and get all
OTA channels very well from the Sharpshooter. It cost 30 bucks more
than the Silver Sensor, but we have one OTA channel (ABC) that
transmits in the VHF range and having Monday Nught Football is a
necessity which is something the Silver Sensor couldn't provide.

Okay, it is very interesting, based on www.antennaweb.org's results I noted that many of stations that are from Philadelphia are mostly about 10 to 30 miles away and in direction of approx 337 degrees that is about 30 degrees to left from magnetic north and based on my apt's postition, the path to the antenna farm located in Roxbough PA about 25 miles away are blocked by walls of several apts but I have fairy clear view of some stations at 130 degrees mostly delware state station but they're more than 35 miles away but I can only get strong philadelphia stations that is channel 3, 6, 10, 12, 17, 23, 29, 35, 57, 61, and 65 they're so strong and I have few other weaker ones that are 8, 14, 32, 48, 63 and 69 but I would rather prefer Phila because it is lot closer to my location.

I understand it is very diffecult to choose a good indoor antenna that are directional and has good high gain as I understand Winegard Sharpshooter SS-3000 and I don't know if it has been tested yet but I know Zenith's Silver Sensor has been tested. If I bought Silver Sensor, I would try it and if it seems work OK and if I add an amp it would have helped boost it's range and stabilizes the HDTV signal so that my Motorola OTA set top tuner called HDT-100 will properly locks to the station. I am very cautionous about choosing one that I could afford that can do well in my area. Also do you have any tips on how I can test and decides which antenna is best to purchase - I mean like watch analog signals and decides which antenna is best for my location?

Thanks!
