I'm using a Samsung T451 and reaching out 42 miles.
However the best tuner in the world won't do much without a powerful
antenna. Also remember that UHF is pretty much line of sight
transmission so hills, mountains, buildings, trees and the curvature
of the earth can block UHF no matter how close the transmitter is.
In my case I have a huge VHF-UHF antenna mounted on the roof with a
rotator and preamp otherwise I wouldn't be getting much no matter how
sensitive the tuner. At night I can get some of the analog VHS
stations from the nearest city (140 miles).
