That's tough. Indoor antennas can work just fine for HDTV (I'm pulling in 3 stations from 35 miles away), but I have no geographical or man-made obstacles in my path. So much depends on where the transmitters are. If they're all "on the other side of the mountain" you may be hosed, no matter what you put up. Good luck.

What about the other side of the building? Can TV signals be received well through a "well built" building? What I mean is, if the tower is south of me and I live on the north side of the building, with elevators and such in between me and the south side of the building.
As a starter, do you have any experience in trying to pick up analog TV signals in this location. Analog problems with reception might a clue that you'll have problems with digital signals also. I am very close to all my target transmitters, but down in a valley with tall pine trees all around. No indoor antenna I tried came close to producing a usable signal, and I wound up having to mount a regular outdoor Radio Shack antenna in my attic. I does a great job on pulling all the stations in. mobilelawyer at your service
No experience trying to use an antenna, just cable. .
