Otherwise buy a stand alone STB. Then when a better model come out you can sell your current one on EBAY and buy the better one for the least cost.
We know that improvements are coming with 6th gen receivers. I expect that the receiver in that Sony is not even 5th generation. Currently you can buy a 4th generation that some say is pretty good at Radio Shack for $90.
Why bother with an integrated receiver. I can't think of a good reason myself.

Well, if the price of a TV with tuner is not much more than an equivalent set without the tuner, you may as well get the tuner included.
