How large a screen and in what price range?

Hi,
My basement has plenty of room. Anything 30 to 50 in. would fit. Budget is ~2.5K.

That max price will get you a very good 65" CRT RPTV.

If you are willing to go up to 57" (I have a 56" and am going to go larger when it gets replaced) take a look at Toshiba 57HX94:

It can be had for well under $2500 and has its own HD tuner. It is also compatable with Toshiba's 160HD High Definition video recorder:

The tunerless 51h84 can be had for less than half as much:

Mitsubishi makes two 48" models, one with a tnuner (WS-48515) and one without (WS-48315) that can be had for under $1500.

Hitachi makes a 46" CRT RPTV without a tuner (46F510)

Do a little research and you will find some real bargains out there on CRT based RPTV.
