For cost effectiveness, nothing beats CRT based RPTVs. DLPs, LCDs,
LCOS, etc., all have expensive lamps that need to be replaced, usually
at twice the rate the manufacturer claims. Toshiba and Hitachi make
great CRT based RPTVs and they are now cheap as dirt. Their contrast
ratio is fantastic, giving an almost 3D look to the picture.
