I'm thinking of getting the Panasonic 42" ED (PD50U). I've seen HD content on it and it looks great. My question goes to SD tv viewing.Since there's no such thing as EDTV...only SD and HD, it's a meaningless question.
I figure I'll be using DirecTv's HD receiver with TiVo. Gotta love the TiVo. :-) I'd also like to use the HDMI connection. Is this going to be the best for the basic DSS feed? In researching this issue, I've seen claims that low-level connections - even RCA - are better for SD content on an ED/HD tv. Yes/no?
TIA
The only thing this set will do is bump 480i (ntsc) to 480p and downgrade everything else to the same level.
BTW HDMI is a DIGITAL connection...480i is ANALOG. It improves NOTHING Use the S video connection.
