In her weekly blog for Reality Nation, Eliza made some very interesting
comments about the last challenge.

Speaking of the challenge, I thought it was another great one by John
Kirhoffer and his challenge department. Blindfolded challenges always make
for hysterical moments of people walking into things, especially when tied
together. There are a few aspects of the challenge I'd like to focus on,
though.
First, yes, Cochran was the one securing the little rope to the big rope
when the pairs were switching off, but did everyone catch that during the
switch off between Dawn and Keith and Ozzy and Whitney, Cochran was having
trouble, so Jim came down to help him? I only point that out because Cochran
took SO much heat over having made that huge mistake with that little rope,
and it's not at all clear he was even the one who fastened it that time.
Secondly, during the "puzzle" portion of the challenge, didn't it seem like
Albert could see below his blindfold? On my seasons of Survivor, we had
multiple blindfolded challenges, and I remember the guys telling me after
the fact that they could see when they looked straight down because the
blindfold goes over your nose but they can't cut off breathing so you have a
gap between the blindfold and your face when you look down. Just want to
say, I think there was some funny business there.

I went back and watched the challenge again and Eliza's right about Jim
jumping down to help Cochran. We don't see who linked Ozzy and Whitney to
the big rope but I would be quite confident in saying it was Jim as he had
control of the little rope right before Whitney and Ozzy took off.
The part about Albert cheating is less clear to me. They were wearing
goggles under their blindfolds and it's hard to tell if they prevented them
from seeing straight down. There's a quick shot of Edna with her blindfold
off wearing goggles but I couldn't tell if she would be able to see if she
looked straight down.
