I bet next episode there'll be a scene where we'll see Matt reading a

There's no surprise in that happening. His religion is either what he
talks about most or the only thing he has going for him (from the
'what the heck do we show of this guy each week?' angle.) I suspect
that the editors will give us a religious reference each week that
Matt survives. It's happened before in Big Brother as the editors are
always trying to find something unique about each contestant.
