chef didn't come off well at all. I do wish we got to see more of what
was happening with the tribe as it looks like there was more to
Marissa's boot than we saw, but that seems to be MB's choice every
season now to hide much of the strategy and interaction from us.
Though at least this week we saw enough to have a good reason for the
boot even if it wasn't the entire story.


MB's main objective for this episode was to get Russell out front, and
establish him with the audience as a "nasty guy" with an interesting
game strategy. We will get to know many of the other characters, and see
their own strategies in play during the weeks ahead. For example, I look
for "the police officer" to emerge as a a savvy player who will get a
lot of screen time. MB has already taken the time to show her as being
able to see through Russell's BS and warn at least one other player that
he should not be trusted.
