Worse than being a "leech on society" is pushing the sale of medications

Every medication is harmful to people. The hope is only that many more
people will benefit than be harmed.
Agreed, so long as they make a complete declaration of what the
potential harm is and under what conditions it's likely to occur. That
works since Corrine would be talking to doctors who should understand
the ramifications of any warnings the manufacturer makes. Now if she's
trying to push Viox (or whatever) when the FDA is considering pulling
it from the market for killing people... well that's a different
story.
Do you consider the people in the food industry (serving hamburgers, icewhile I agreed with you above I think you know well and good that
cream, etc... to be worse for society than the 'leeches'? Everyone knows
that most restaurant food (and even most packaged foods sold in stores) is
'harmful'.
nothing in the food industry (barring food poisoning or choking on a
huge piece of hot dog) will kill you when you eat it. It takes years
for that food to do the real damage. Drugs tend to have immediate
impact for good or bad.
