My new favorite episode of the season.

I agree that it was an interesting episode. I have liked Sugar's play
at various times throughout the season as well, but I could do without
the reoccuring tears.

Definitely a rare good use of a HII. In fact, I cannot recall another
time where it was used effectively. There must have been at least
ONE, but I cannot think of it...

Sugar has done well in the game but deserves very little credit for
her "success".

You make it sound like someone else (Kenny?) is responsible for all of
the
moves that have benefited her.

The specific things the OP mentioned had little to do with Sugar.

"orchestrated two blindsides" - Which do you mean ??? Not anyone
currently on the jury. Maybe if you stretch the point you could count
Crystal, but I would give Bob more credit for booting her. If you
consider including anyone else, she was just one of the majority who
voted to boot them, but did not "orchestrate" anything.

Are you saying she didn't play a major role in getting rid of Randy? As
far
as I'm concerned, based on what we were shown, she was the one who ensured
he would be gone. The other blindside the OP is talking about is probably
giving Matty the HII which I agree was a move none of the others expected.
I
don't see how you can give Bob much credit for getting rid of Crystal. By
not giving Kenny his II he left Kenny open as a target but he never
suggested that they target Crystal. That was Sugar.

"got to laze around the 'sugar shack'..." - She was SENT to EI so
nothing there for which to give her credit

Agreed.

"used ... immunity idol" - This was the last TC it COULD be used. It
is used after the votes were cast. No one voted for her, in part
based on the assumption that she would play it as it was worthless
after this TC. She instead allowed Matty to use it but he did not
actually need it as he only got two votes anyway and Crystal got four.

Using hindsight doesn't prove your point. She made a very smart move by
wearing the HII to TC and that made sure that no one would vote for her. I
think we'll find out soon that she knew that Kenny and Crystal were going
to
vote for Matty and she was unsure about Susie. Don't forget Susie has
shown
us she's not afraid to flip if it will benefit her. By giving the HII to
Matty she guaranteed his survival. The 4-2 vote is a moot point.

Her success thus far has been more a benefit, not from her "skills"
but in 1) her absence while alliance and (more importantly) enemies
were made and she was never targeted by any of the various groups; 2)
her being a complete challenge non-threat; 3) her being coaxed as a
swing vote to vote with the majority and 4) only becoming an enemy to
the minority group of players.

You seem to be totally forgetting how well she has been reading the
various
situations and players, and using her assessments to manipulate people
into
doing what she wants. Her tearful moments with Bob and Matty tonight were
done to convince them that she was them. She knows where Kenny stands. In
the "Outwit" part of the game she's been nothing short of brilliant. I'd
also disagree with your assessment that she's been coaxed into voting with
people. She's been voting based on what is best for her. It just happens
that sticking with or joining a majority is a wise move. Something Randy
should have taken into account to try and save himself.

So yes, my original statement stands - Sugar has done well in the game
but deserves very little credit for her "success".

And I'll stick with my assessment that she deserves a lot of credit for
her
success.

As far as I'm concerned, she's played a great
game. Her biggest challenge (if she makes F3) will be convincing the
jury
how well she played the game. If the jury votes based on spite, which
I'm
afraid might happen, then she's screwed and she might have just handed
Matty
$1 million by letting him use the HII.

Crystal was gone with or without Matty playing the HII. As a gesture,
it may have helped Sugar as far as Matty is concerned. With the
others, who knows. If they now view Sugar and Matty as a couple, she
may be targeted to split up the pair.

I can't see Bob winning 5 in a row so he'll be vulnerable. If I was
playing
I would get rid of him before Kenny because he is too much of a threat and
clearly has the best rapport with the jury. Sugar's best scenario would be
to get to F3 with Kenny and Susie. Unless we're getting a really bad edit
of
Susie I can't see her getting any votes. Then it comes down to who the
jury
hates least and who can give the best speech. Sugar will do better than
Kenny at the final TC but I can't figure out based on the edit which one
of
them the jury hates the least. Final vote would be 4-3.

JP had an interview published in today's local paper that strongly
suggested a final 2 vote. Interesting...

That would mean we have a double elimination right at the end of the game
which would really suck for one of them or someone gets seriously injured
which would also suck. I guess it's also possible that Corinne jumped out of
the jury area and attacked Sugar during one of the last two TC rendering her
unable to finish the game. Could also explain why they did one less episode
this season. If we see "This episode dedicated to Jessica Kiper" at the
start of the second hour episode tomorrow night we'll know your local paper
got it right! Then again, didn't your local paper tell us preseason that
wild elephants took out a few of the players early in the game? ;-)

If they switch to a F-2 at the last minute, who would they be trying
to keep from winning ???

Last season it was Cirie, but who they are trying to stop this season
is unclear. I guess we will see soon enough...
