09 October Episode - Tribe ranking & switch-up


Interesting rankings. I would consider Ace quite shrewd if he ranked
himself low in order to bring his overall rank down, but I am not sure
his ego would have allowed him to rank anyone else above himself.
More likely the rest of the tribe voted somewhat honestly.

Crystal was very insulted by being ranked fourth of seven, right in
the middle. But that is exactly where she should HOPE to be ranked.
Not low enough to be considered expendable but not so high as to be a
"threat". So maybe her apparent umbrage was for the confessional
only. She WAS ranked ahead of two of the men, while Kato went top to
bottom (so to speak) on males then females, so she is clearly a
contender.

Crystal is playing a good game so far and was also highly observant of
the Kato people's interactions post-switch, so I think she will
maneuver deep into the game.

GC ranked slightly more valuable than Susie, who has proven pretty
useless except for camp chores, and then he is last picked. Well, not
really picked but forced upon a tribe in the end. Even the Kota
people realize how useless he has been in everything.

Randy wisely (politically?) declines to be goaded by JP into saying
anything incriminating, but Marcus comments that he was surprised
Randy was ranked so high. Since they ended up on the same tribe, this
probably foreshadows some resentment on Randy's part but I would be
surprised if Marcus cannot assuage the feelings.

Did anyone else notice the shots of Ace and Sugar when Randy mentioned
"who was hooking up with who" ???

Charlie is picked quickly, bypassing Bob. I think Marcus is either
gay for Charlie or just likes to be surrounded by worshippers. Or
both. Corrine is chosen as soon as possible leaving Jacque at the
bottom of that alliance but keeping them otherwise intact. Bob is
passed over until the end, so he should now see where HE stands within
the alliance in which he thinks he's a part.

Over Ace's objections, Ken wisely picks Kelly. With Michelle gone, he
sets his sights a bit lower and probably thinks he has a shot with
her. JP says that "may be the most surprising decision in 10 days"
but I do not see why. That was the best choice to make if Ken was
actually thinking ahead, which is likely since he is a gamer and you
have to plan ahead to do that well.
