He should. He sacrificed himself in the game to earn back Tom's respect
and Tom showed him no respect at all. That may make Ian a highly
honorable person and that may certainly be enough for him to hold his head
up high, but he still wasted it on a man unworthy of his respect.

Unworthy of his respect? What did Tom do besides play a game? My
recollection is that Ian stepped down without any condition that Tom take
him to the end. Do you think Ian should have been rewarded for such
stupidity with an F2 spot?


Actually, Ian made Tom promise to take the girl to F-2.
