Unfortunately, no..it can't get movies or streaming stuff, open pdf's
and other things.

What it DID do was allow almost anyone to access the internet in an
amazingly easy to use way.

I have a laptop also and I'm still surprised that doing things are more
difficult than webtv.

It shouldn't be.

With webtv...anything you want to do is spelled out with a simple
button.

That said..they stopped making webtv (now called MSN TV) many years ago.

They have a MSN TV 2 which is more like a computer..I don't have one.
