As I said, I've been using "thou" as short-hand for "though" for years
in all my Usenet posts and emails and beyond the occasional good
natured ribbing about it from the a.tv.s. gang, I've never encountered
anyone who truly didn't know what I meant from the context of the
post.

Speakers of Elizabethan English ain't that common anymore.

Is it really that hard to leave off the "u" and make it "tho" as was
suggested to you?

And have younger readers assume I actually meant "titty hard on"?

But in fact it is that hard for me to change, as I've been using "thou"
for years with no problem and more importantly, I refuse to knuckle
under to spelling Nazis or stalker/trolls.

It just isn't worth the effort to me any more. I am only telling you that

Is this about my use of the term "gals" for women? Please explain to
me (or maybe someone else needs to, as "madams53" has righteously
killfiled me over my use of "thou") how using "gals" as short-hand for
women is sexist but using "guys" for males is not?

I know you will come back with some smart ass answer letting me know
how little you value my opinion, and making fun of me for telling you
this,
but I really don't care because I won't be reading it.

I have no problem with you disagreeing with me nor do I killfile those
I disagree with, as my philosophy is "no blood, no foul" and while I
may make some cracks as part of the debate, I will not insult you as
there is no hatred involved on my part and I just have more class then
that.
