Nathan, if you didn't spend so much time in the defense of the
anti-Christian threads, you could have done the Survivor Certainty
contest!

Haha, probably! I'm getting in a last burst of Usenet activity before
buckling down to my research again.

But, I understand why the bitterness and anger against Christians now.

Why do you think that being raised Baptist should make me bitter and
angry towards Christians? Is there something wrong with the Baptist
faith that I'm not aware of? I also went to Methodist churches a lot,
too. Are they better or worse than Baptists at whatever it is that
you find wrong with them?

And where have you seen my supposed "bitterness and anger against
Christians"? I have called Leslie (one person, not an entire
religion) out for being ignorant, not for being Christian. That her
ignorance is centered around her religious beliefs is incidental to
the issue of her thinking that a Buddha is a god, thinking that she is
magically engaging in *worship* if she goes through (what she
mistakenly thinks are) the physical acts, and thinking that a personal
relationship with Her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ doesn't constitute
religious beliefs.

If any Survivor---Christian, Jewish, atheist, whatever---had said
something about "worshipping Buddha" and "Christianity not being a
religion" (and had also made a public stink about it, and had gotten a
thread on here discussing him :-) ), I'd call him out for his
ignorance, too.

Nathan

Not being Baptist, Methodist, Capricorn or anything else...it was the
"angry, vengeful, God, etc. etc." that caught my eye. I too, do not want to
be a part of a faith that is based on fear. I think many religions of the
world are based on that concept, or what/how much must I do to reach heaven,
nirvana, perfection, state of tranquility, see Allah, etc...
