I really can't see anyone other than Earl winning. He has been in
complete control since the merge. Yau-man is everyone's target. Since
no one wants to sit next to him at the end, Earl has played a very
subtle game. And has not pissed anyone off. All he has to do is keep
pulling strings in the background. And as long as he isn't next to Yau
he will win against any of the idiots left. And I am sure Earl is
smart enough to realize Yau is his biggest threat. But Yau is a
threart to everyone. So let the others do the dirty work of getting
rid of Yau, while Earl keeps his hands clean. If Earl makes it to the
final, I can't see the jury bringing up anything that will hurt him.
He has played a perfect game.

He never won an individual challenge. That's something that people
often bring up when a woman makes it to the finals, to point out how
undeserving she is to beat the alpha male she's sitting next to. See
the resounding losses of Becky, Danielle, Katie, MamaKim, as well as
the vehement criticism leveled against winners Danni, Amber, Sandra,
and even Tina to some extent.

Far too many jury members (and audience members) think that challenge
wins are meaningful in the final vote (rather than just one of many
means of progressing through the game).

However, there's a double standard here---a lack of challenge wins
generally only matter if you're a woman, so Earl's performance in
challenges will probably be overlooked. Heck, he *looks* like an
alpha male, so they'll probably just assume he won something anyway.
Especially if Cassandra is with him in the finals, because God forbid
you be an out-of-shape female and make it to the finals.

Personally, I think it's stupid to use challenge performance as a big
deciding factor in your vote, because it basically means you'll only
vote for the physically fittest person in the F2. If that's what
really mattered, then there'd be no real point to having Tribal
Councils; just hold a decathalon.

All that said, I think Earl is in the best position to win right now,
and would beat anyone except Yau-Man.
