Re: 'Survivor' in trouble at work

Yikes. I'm so sorry about your mother...and especially about my

Thanks for the stats - I can guarantee you that there is no offence
taken. It has been 16 months now and I'm sure the regulars in the
newsgroup will remember but there you go. The worst parts are my
father's behaviour since and having to deal with customers since it's
a family business and she was a huge part of the operation.

My husband's dad died at age 65, the exact same age as *his* father
before him. Strangely enough, my husband was at that time exactly 32
and a half and thus was convinced that his life was already half over.
I pointed out that his other grandparents were going strong well into
their 80s and that he may take after that side.

My father had a traumatic moment when he passed his father's age. I
never understood why since his father smoked unfiltered home rolled
cigarettes (about 1 1/2 packs a day) and predictably died of lung
cancer. Dad doesn't so while emotionally I understand his feelings
logically his chances of beating his father's age were fairly high.

So a question for the newsgroup - has any Survivor contestant yet
died? There was speculation for awhile that Sonia Christopher of S1
had but her website shows her alive and doing well. Now that there are
180+ "alumni" the odds that _all_ of them survive (no pun intended)
has to be diminishing.

I have not heard that anyone's "fire has gone out" but would welcome
news.

Similarly any births? I'm surprised not to have heard such news of
Neleh who apparently left her broadcasting job and that would be an
obvious reason together with her marriage shortly before. We all know
about Elisabeth's child but anyone else?
