black belt boy scout got to work right away to build their camp while the
youngins played games. If it wasn't for Shane's wheezing due to smoking,
he probably could have contributed more. Did you catch his nickname for
Bruce? - Daffy Duck! I think I would have leaned more towards "Hey, do
they call you Bruce", Bruce? :-)

The young women looked like they could out do the men - heck even the old
gals with the "lumberjill" had a half-decent shelter after 1 day.

Anyone catch the wink/flirt between Courtney and Nick? Me thinks that will
come into play later when they remix the tribes.

Subtleties here:
*Sally and Misty seem to have an instant connection from the challenge,
they gave each other knowing looks while Just Peachy was explaining things.
*And who didn't think that the astronaut and fighter pilot wouldn't
consider the other as a kindred spirit?
*The younger girls immediately looked at Danielle for direction when they
had to choose one to stay and Danielle offered herself up to stay on Exile
island.
*Sally/Danielle weren't too impressed with Courtney's "mother" turtle
routine.
*Shane and Bruce seem to be co-operating together although Shane doesn't
think he fits in that well with the older guys and their work ethic.
*Shane let on that he tends to lash out at others and nicknaming Bruce
without cause seems to validate that.
*Misty doesn't seem to be bothered by bugs and eating them but terrifying
of being alone on the island without protection. Witness her fetal position
when sleeping. If she experienced a cool, damp, thunderous night by herself
what were the young guys coping with their anaemic shelter?
*Cirie is barely even house broken and is afraid of leaves!
*Tina didn't have a high opinion of Ruth Marie's physical prowess at the
challenge. But she seemed relatively athletic to me. Tina grabbed the rope
challenge map out of Ruth Marie's hands.
*Older gals took far too long seeking consensus on the map and lost their
challenge.
*Cirie sought out Ruth Marie to get together to discuss strategy.
*Ruth Marie was content to have Tina take a leadership role - shows that
she is thinking strategically.
*Melinda thinking that it would be better to kick out Cirie rather than
Tina but must have gone along with the others with her vote.
*The gals noted a twinge of resentment when Tina said she had the better
work ethic.
*Melinda is in the older girls group and YET her posted age is only 32!
That's 1 year older than Courtney but she looks like she's 42.
*Ruth Marie reminds me a lot of Tina Wesson in looks and as a strategist.
