norms, run amok and get away with it. Bonnie and Clyde are an infamous
duo who got a great deal of public attention. Laurie Bembenek of "Run
Bambi Run" fame is another more recent. Robin Hood is one from ye olde

We like these people. That is, we like these people in print. We
wouldn't want them over for dinner. We wouldn't like them if we were
their victim. We just like them at a distance. We can use them as an
ink-blot, to see what we want to see, and to project onto them are
need to sometimes escape socitey's pressures.
