By kicking a "seven-year old" out of school? For carrying a "toy"?!?!?!
Kids have played cops and robbers for generations with toy guns. I realize
rules are rules, but kick him out for more than a year??? He didn't even
take it out of his bag. The punishment does not fit the crime.

Adults don't face those types of penalties in the work force if breaking the
rules.

Take a toy gun to work and tell us how it works out.

If you ever drive 5 miles over the speed limit, I hope you will be fully prepared to spend 20 years in prison--and not complain about it. After all, you broke the rules. And, unlike this child, you really *could* be risking someone else's life. As an adult, you would surely expect a greater punishment than a child receives, so 20 years sounds suitable.

Okay, I'm being deliberately ridiculous, but so is a lost year for a 7-year-old.
