Give me something specific.
Voting rights!
A favorite of mine! Though not totally on topic for ATC.

OK, riddle me this: how many American women received the right to vote
on August 6, 1920 with the ratification of the 19th Amendment?
The 19th Amendment prohibited states from denying the vote on account of
sex. What exactly are you asking?
I'm asking how many women ALREADY had the vote, BEFORE
the 19th amendment was ratified.

I don't know. Quite a few.

You're better educated than most.

The answer is -- more than half of all the states and territories
had already given women the vote well before the constitutional
amendment.

What the hell -- YOU brought us to this subject.
What's YOUR point?

You did. You asked for examples where women were in the one down
position in society. So I pulled out voting rights.
