I was just getting ready to post a response to (quoting the article) "A
woman fears becoming the victim of a
crime so she turns to true crime books in a possible effort to learn
strategies and techniques to prevent becoming murdered...." was utter
bullshit. Glad I waited to read your more civil response. lol
I read about those crimes when I was a kid because my mom was fascinated by
it and had all the detective-type magazines laying around. I also liked the
freak-factor. As an adult I've always read it out of curiosity and have
always been interested in what makes people tick that could do such
atrocities to other people. I have a hard time reading the actual details
of the murder especially when it's first hand info, remember Trawick posting
his gory details on this ng a few years back? They bothered me horrible for
a long long time and wished I hadn't read the posts.
Though the article was interesting, it was uttler bullshit.

Are Trawicks postings still available? I missed that.

You should be able to find them in Google Groups and searching for Trawick in the ATC newsgroup. He posted thru another poster that had access to the computer. It was awful. There was also a web site. The families of the victims were understandably outraged. I'm pretty sure the web site was shut down.
