But still, a rarely publicized instance of wife and mother "gone

Rarely publicized -- yes.

BOSTON --
Cortney Hudson
A missing 27-year-old mother who vanished after dropping her kids off
at day care early Monday has been found.
Cortney Hudson was found at about 7:30 a.m. Wednesday lying in the
snow after police received a 911 call from a resident who saw her near
Dunn Pond. She was semi-conscious and taken to Heywood Memorial
Hospital, Gardner Police Chief Neil Erickson said.
Search teams discovered her car Tuesday in the parking lot of the Dunn
State Park, just outside Gardner and a couple miles away from her
home.
Family said everything seemed fine on Monday. Hudson has a husband,
Matt, and their daughters, 8 months and 2 years old.
"Yesterday morning, he said she was fine; he called her at 2:30 and
she was on her way to day care," said Deb Hudson, the missing woman's
mother-in-law.
Hudson dropped off the girls at their day care in Fitchburg, which is
on her way to work.
"When he called her work last night to talk to her, they told him that
she wasn't working," Deb Hudson said.
Cortney Hudson never made it to her nursing job at the Westford House,
a health-care facility in Westford about a half-hour away. She was to
work 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. shift.
Her family said she has had bouts with depression.
