Let me see if I understand. LE first arrested the unborn baby's
father, but then let him go. He wasn't the kidnapper. It was the
guy with the long hair who was carrying the child into the motel
room who is now under arrest for kidnapping, right? He spent an
hour or less at the motel, is that right? What I can't get is - do
they have tape of him carrying the child out of the motel or what?
Or tape of him leaving alone?

I saw two different videos of the perp carrying the little girl.
I'm pretty sure one was of him carrying her *out* of the motel. She
was held in somewhat different position, and the clothing was
arranged differently. Unfortunately, I don't remember the link.

Correction: I really should have said that I saw *still photos* from
the video(s), not the video itself. I thought at the time that one
photo was going into the hotel and the other was leaving, but I
suppose it's possible that they were just showing two different
angles. Actually, that makes more sense to me since I suspect that
she was killed in the hotel room, possibly during a sexual assault
that became violent.

So far as I've seen, the stills have been billed as 'entering the
motel'. Still shots from video of them entering. But I don't believe
she was killed there, just don't think so. Why would somebody carry a
child into a hotel, only to have to carry out an assaulted or dead
child later? I can't figure out why she was even taken to Sanford
unless it was to 'give' her to someone else. There are plenty of far
less conspicuous *motels* in Fayetteville.

Maybe the guy who took her there didn't know she'd come out dead? If
that motel is easy to find, maybe it was an easy meeting place. If the
perps didn't know there would ever be LE involvement, doesn't matter
where they'd meet - the simpler the better for them to find one
another.

LE must have footage of the child or her body leaving the motel, either
in someone's arms under a blanket, or else in a suitcase. How could
they not? Unless the tape stopped working?

That has pretty much been my thought process. I don't think the perp
intended to kill her. I think he attacked her (sexually) with such
violence that she was killed. Then, he had to decide how to get rid of
the body. So, if none of those photos actually show them leaving, then
he found some way of hiding the body before removing it. Of course, I
don't know anything about that area or the motel.

Yes, but she was so small it would be fairly easy to hide. Depending on
the type of motel and where the room was located, he might even have been
able to drop her out a window--very risky, but he might have been able to
quickly get to that location. Still, it seems to me that it is more
likely that he hid her in a "bundle" of some sort and just walked out.
But surely *he* would have been picked up on the security camera as he
exited.

That's the thing that boggles me, why choose a hotel? Where you enter a
front lobby and have to carry the child in. When you could rent a motel
room and drag anything in or out without being seen.
