Apparently seven are dead, one is in custody, and two suspects in military
uniforms are sought in shooting at Ft. Hood (Killeen, TX).


I am certainly not the first to say that this tragedy reminds me of Army
Sergeant Hasan Akbar, who was convicted of the grenade attack that left two
officers dead and 14 wounded when he tossed grenades into their tents
(Kuwait 2003).

While this recent incident at Fort Hood may not be classified as a copy cat
crime, it does make me realize how far someone with deranged sensibilities
will go to avenge what they perceive as the killings of their fellow Muslims
by American forces.
