Realistically? They should get a generous plea offer, including a waiver of felony charges and a fine they can actually pay, say $1,000.

I don't approve of their dumb-ass caper, but how much more taxpayer money do we as a society wish to squander on these boneheads? Save it for real criminals, and real public safety needs.
