Witness tampering?
Or....did he realize that if he didn't provide "closure", all of those people would sue them for refunds on an incomplete "event"?
Looks like Ray thinks all of the "survivors" are going to back him up. But obviously not, when they call in the press to overhear.

Self-help guru calls sweat lodge participants
By FELICIA FONSECA (AP) - 6 hours ago
FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. - Motivational speaker James Arthur Ray has held a telephone conference call with many of the participants in a sweat lodge ceremony that left two people dead.
That's according to people who listened to the call and provided a transcript to The Associated Press on Thursday.
The call Wednesday came even as Ray still hasn't been interviewed by Yavapai County, Ariz., sheriff's investigators probing the Oct. 8 incident.
According to the transcript, Ray says he used the call as a way to provide closure to those attending his five-day "Spiritual Warrior" retreat outside Sedona.
Two people died and 19 others were injured after being overcome in the sweat lodge. Two remain hospitalized, one in critical condition.
Ray's spokesman confirmed the telephone conference was held.
