CO-UT Missing Woman's Remains Found (Murder ?)

Rose Backhaus is the woman from Colorado who
was last seen checking out of a Moab, Utah motel
on Nov 16th, 2008.

Almost two weeks later, her vehicle was found at
the trailhead to Goblin Valley State Park in Utah...
a circuitous route from Moab. Her cellphone had
pinged in the Four Corners area, so the initial
search was centered there. When her car was found,
there were notes inside that indicated she was happy to be at Goblin Valley.

But there's a problem:

Goblin Valley is in Emery County.
The remains (if they are hers) were found in Grand County,
with FBI involvement.

This could be a murder case, or a car theft case after
she disappeared. But if it's murder, I've always had
a suspect.

The Grand County Sheriff's Office said Thursday that it began searching for the body of a missing woman from Lafayette, Colo., at the request of FBI agents in Denver. On Wednesday, human remains were found in Grand County.

"The Grand County Sheriff's Office will work with the FBI to make positive identification of the remains," Sheriff James Nyland said in a statement Thursday.
