Not really.

Defense attorney defending what is left of his client's public
reputation. Honorable activity. On his part. Says nothing about his
client.

A way different thing than LE making statements designed to creat am
pressioin of guilt of a presumed innocent. Wasting our tax money,
lessening the possibility of a fair trial. Pretty much inappropriate,
in my book.
