Video of the father

In reading the other thread about this one, and this thread, I was
tending to think this could very well be like eg Danielle Van Dam. Of
course they have to look at family members first, but as often as a
family member is the perp, stranger abductions happen too. So I was
prepared to believe that Haleigh was taken by a stranger. Still think it
could happen, but now this video of the poor weeping father?

It left me unmoved. Seemed Susan Smith-like to me.

I agree and I never believed Smith from her first "plea". His 911 call was
kind of convincing though. No tears just outrage.

Dang it, I want to hear that 911 call!

Very different from my reaction to Mark Lundsford when it happened to him.
So. But, hey, maybe he's just a truly weepy sort of person. And it's one
of those screwed up family situations by the sounds of it - which makes a
vulnerable family and a vulnerable little girl in the eyes of a
stranger-predator. I think we'll learn soon if it's the dad or his gf. I
can't see a 17yo being able to hold a fake story together for long.
