Thank you Mary, I was hoping that someone would bring that up. Animal
hoarders are not breeders. A hoarder cannot bring themselves to
destroy an animal, where a breeder can do so at will because the
animal does not fit the "profile" for the perfect cat/dog.- Hide quoted text -
This show circuit group I refer to rarely takes their animals
home after the show. They get "bopped" and tossed in the
nearest dumpster .. 50 or more at a time. And if the breed
line at home is proven faulty by the judging, they get bopped
and tossed on the burn pile 200 at a time. Note: none of
these "breeders" are doing this as a business. It is nothing
but a hobby gone wild ... by compulsion ... by self image
.... by addiction .. by need for companionship and a social
life ... ??? Maybe hoarding is the wrong word here. But
then I think it might be the same regardless of the
"hoarders" finances. It begins at a level one could admire,
but it is addictive and they can't stop.
