It isn't a question of sympathy; it is our system of law that REQUIRES
a presumption of innocence. Why duct tape the mouth of a two year old?
It tends to show it was agg. manslaughter rather than intentional
murder. Killing a child that young requires no special instruments for
an adult like Casey Anthony; something I read recently makes sense:
accidental death due to culpable negligence* (the sort that can be
punished by 30 years here in Florida as a child is involved) caused by
chloroform and/or taping the child's mouth shut so Casey could hang
out at the bars like a bum. The child dies & more crimes are committed
afterward to avoid punishment.


*Negligence that shows a willful disregard for human life.
