This is an area evidently used by local for parties,
kids for camping and building huts, play area, and Casey
and her friends used it as their secret hide-away when
young. ..... and the place is FULL of rattlesnakes especially

life and Rattlers don't care too much for water.Maybe moccosins..
You reminded me of something,,one of the cops said he was chased out
of
the area because of a snake....makes one think about relying on a cop
in
that area if a snake scares them off.

I don't think I wrote all of what you quoted there, but I did hear a
report
of a cop being scared off by a snake. I'm not familiar with the snakes
in
florida, although we do have water moccosins here in N.C. I think we'll
have to wait and see what the cops have to say about their lack of
response
to the three earlier calls by this meter reader.
Has anyone else seen the video to which I was referring? Video
supposedly
taken August 11, of the same exact area where the body was eventually
found?
The video I saw last night resembled an over-grown jungle, with no
earth
visible at all, just lots of under growth and vines tangled together.

I just posted a link about the rattlesnakes in that area -
its confirmed. I would suppose mocassins also, scorpions are common,who
knows
what else. There are also gators nearby....

I wont pursue this because I dont want the idea to suggest
Cayle was biten ! That kind of idea is the last thing needed
at this point ..........

I've been living in Orlando for over 20 yrs, and I've never seen a
rattlesnake. Water Moccasin, yep! Even had them eat the fish off of my
stringer.

I've seen water snakes swimming with a relatively large fish in its mouth.
Not the same as water moccasins, but an average sized snake nonetheless.
It is a surprising sight if you've never seen it before!

I've never seen it, but I'd sure like to. Kewl. Am I weird to like stuff
like that? I mean, it's part of nature. I've liked it when other creatures
took our catch as we were hauling it in, on the reef down here. Just
surprised I never saw what you describe when I lived Stateside.
