I've always thought that Amanda stole Meridith's rent money and the
murder was a cover-up.


I think that Amanda murdering over a month's rent is even more
unlikely than the "sex game" scenario.

It would be rare for a 20 year old to do something like this murder
without some kind of track record, IMO. Even with her "normal"
background, it is surprizing that there isn't someone in Seattle
(possibly a flake) loudly proclaiming "She was always weird! I could
tell ! ! ! !"
