It wasn't Barack Obama who brought up joe the plumber. It was McCain.
He brought him up, what was it, 30 some times in the debate. I can't
recall the exact number of times, but it was McCain who brought him up
every time. Obama finally responded in kind. But you could tell the
first couple times, Obama didn't even know WTF 'joe the plumber' was.
I think it was 23 times. Obama left an opening, McCain took it. Just like
Obama takes openings McCain leaves. What does that have to do with JtP's
right to ask a question?
If McCain hadn't brought him up time after time, nobody would even know who
*joe* was. How many people ask questions of politicians and we never hear
about them at all. Can you name another questioner who has received the
same attention?
IIRC, someone asked palin a question early on, I think it was about Pakistan
maybe. Palin screwed up her response to the question and then when it
became evident and she was queried on it, she blamed the questioner,
referring to them as a *plant*, etc. The person who originally asked the
question wasn't a plant, it was a legitimate question.

Here's a link for it, and it's obvious the person asking the question wasn't
a plant. I'd bet, had Obama picked this up and ran with it, and ran with
it, the questioner would also have been checked out. I saw him a couple
times on the news, stating it was an honest question and he wasn't a plant.
The different here is that Obama DIDN'T keep bringing up this guy and palins
answer to his question.
Same thing with Biden. I can't begin to count the number of times I've
heard any and every republican referring to Biden's remark about 'testing
Obama' in the first six months of his presidency *if* he's elected. All
this goes both ways. Like I said, if obama kept referring to palins answer
to pakistan guy, we'd know all about pakistan guys history too. Had McCain
not run joe the plumber into the ground, nobody would even know who he was
and he wouldn't be on Fox TV.
