With his displayed level of specious qualities, he'll likely run as a Republican.

Because he asked a question based on a premise that IMO could very well have been true?

I'm surprised by your reaction to this guy. I thought democrats were "for the little guy" and all that, and I assume you're a democrat. Yet with no evidence, you seem convinced he was a plant, he planned his encounter with Obama (very unlikely since it was not a planned stop, why on earth would anyone but the inside circle know it was coming?), you're somehow sure he wasn't really planning to buy a small business (he never said when, btw - he might have been thinking a while out, or a partnership with someone else), etc.

To simply rely on dirt from one side, while completely ignoring that there are two sides to every story (and we haven't hear Joe defend every little charge against him), is just wrong. It is what wing-nuts do, and it is why wing-nuts become *so* convinced of their side, because they keep seeing evidence of their view when they ignore everything else.

I thought at one time you were more objective and logical than you've been lately regarding events surrounding the election.

I can't speak for Bart, but I did see *joe* on the Fox news programs last week-end. I think one of the shows I saw him on is named Huckaby? Sorry, but I don't usually watch Fox, I just happened to be channel surfing. I also saw the original exchange with Obama. I *think* I heard 'joe' say 'he was in the process of buying the plumbing company he worked for.'

We have a man here working today, wiring dh's workshop and wiring our generator up to the house wiring. Something like that anyway. This guy is a friend of dh. We were just out in the workshop talking about 'joe the plumber' because the guy we have working is licensed in everything. Electrical, heating and AC, and he is also a licensed plumber. The south isn't big on unions etc., but the guy here working *is* big on being licensed by the state to work. He did say of all the exams/tests he took to be licensed, the plumbing was the hardest. Surprised us because we thought for sure the electrical would have been. He also doesn't like having to come up behind somebody elses crappy work and *fix it*.

td

Joe said to Obama, "I'm getting ready to buy a business...", and Obama did most of the talking from there. He didn't actually mention that it was the company he worked for, btw. Also I listened to the Huckabee interview via youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M_2odvi1Xyg and I didn't hear him being super specific about his plans, he was talking more about the media reaction to him and such.

"Getting ready" is not a precise term and is open to interpretation. I spent my entire working life "getting ready" to retire.

And none of that really matters. It is plausible that he someday wishes to own his own company, maybe within the next 4-8 years, and would like to know how an Obama presidency would affect those plans. He has a right to ask. And it seems implausible that he was a plant, since he'd be *very* unlikely to have insider knowledge of unplanned stops by Obama.

I assume the last bit you wrote above is meant to imply JtP does crappy work that others need to later correct. There is no evidence of that. I suppose you're extrapolating that out from the story about the status of his plumbing license. IIRC Joe said he is in the process of getting it, or maybe it was a false rumor - I cannot keep track. But one of my points was that there are two sides to every story, and Joe hasn't given his side of things for a lot of the rumors. Me being a big mean conservative and all, will give the guy the benefit of the doubt and defend his right to ask a politician about his plans.
